UNM Neurosurgery Access Grant

About

This grant allows UNM neurosurgeons and other UNM providers to care for patients across the state using inexpensive audiovisual equipment and software. The three-year $15.1 million Health Care Innovation Award from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services will fund a test model of Access to Critical Cerebral Emergency Support Services (ACCESS), expanding New Mexico's telehealth network to include more than 40 hospitals statewide.

Services

The goal of ACCESS is to provide optimal neurological care at local hospitals. UNM experts will be able to provide remote emergency consultations and manage cases around the clock. The project is being developed in conjunction with Net Medical Xpress Solutions.
